Aboulomania:
It is a mental disorder in which the patient shows pathological indecisiveness. It is usually associated with stress depression and can affect one’s ability to socialize badly. People suffering from aboulomania face great difficulty in simple everyday tasks decisions like whether or not they should go for a walk.
Boanthropy:
People suffering from this kind of mental disorder often consider themselves to be an ox or a cow. According to the “Book of Daniel”, Nebuchadnezzar, King of the Neo-Babylonian Empire was the first one to suffer from Boanthropy.
Alien Hand Syndrome:
It is a rare condition in which a person experiences their limbs acting seemingly on their own accord, without control over the actions. This syndrome can lead to great distress for the sufferer and they often refer to their affected limb as a separate entity.
Stendhal Syndrome:
It is an mental disorder that causes rapid heartbeat, dizziness, confusion and sometimes hallucinations when a person is exposed to art. It is named after the famous 19th century French author Stendhal who described his experience with the phenomenon during his 1817 visit to Florence, Italy in his book Naples and Florence: A Journey from Milan to Reggio.
Capgras Delusion:
It is a rare disorder in which a person holds a belief that a spouse or other closed family member, has been replaced by an identical looking impostor. It is most common in patients with schizophrenia, although it occur in those with dementia, or after a brain injury.
